Green School Global Citizenship
We have been working on our 6th flag for Global Citizenship Litter and Waste. The children took part in an action week where they learned about Fairtrade. We read Charlie and Lola
This book explains the idea of being fair and teaches the children how they can help by looking for the fairtrade symbol on their foods. We discussed how St. Helen's is already a global school by talking about some of the twenty eight countries our pupils and their families are from.
The children learned about Road Safety and took a Safe Cross Code walk. They also entered competitions and made wonderful creations from recycled materials. Due to all of our hard work we were awarded the Fairtrade Schools Certificate
