Engineers Week
This week in school we celebrated Engineers Week organised by Engineers Ireland. We learned that there are many different types of engineers that help solve problems in the world. Each day in school we hear from our Engineers of the Day. We heard from some parents in school who are engineers and they told us all about what it was like to be an engineer. We also listened to some stories and read books about being an engineer. The children loved the books from the "If I Built a ..." series by Chris Van Dusen. We worked together as a group to build a castle and a bridge to help the bears cross the table. After we read "If I Built a School", we each designed our own school using the jaggo blocks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3g7_bTLebo
